  • Future of ShareLaTeX

This article was originally published on the ShareLaTeX blog and is reproduced here for archival purposes.

ShareLaTeX has been live for a couple of days now and I wanted to take this opportunity to cover what the future holds for this site.

    Stability

Creating a stable platform is imperative from the very beginning for us. As more people use this service there are more eyes to catch bugs and errors, when these crop up they will always be the number 1 priority.

    Features

In its current form ShareLaTeX is a very capable editor but there is still lots of room for improvement. Two new features we are currently working on include the ability to move items in the file tree by dragging and dropping as well as being able to upload your existing projects.

    Listen to you

We have a massive list of things we could add to the site, picking the right one is hard, let us know what you want to see in the future. Social sign in? Revisions? Other compilers? Let us know.
